HGAW 1/144 Gundam Double X: After War Gundam X - Gunpla. BANDAI MK59166

HGAW 1/144 Gundam Double X Product Contents

The HGAW 1/144 Gundam Double X by Bandai Spirits is a High Grade After War plastic model kit recreating Garrod Ran's high-output Mobile Suit from After War Gundam X. Scaled precisely to 1/144, this kit brings the upgraded successor of the original Gundam X to life with remarkable mechanical details, vibrant color-molded parts, and fully functional gimmicks.

Engineered to capture the suit's devastating firepower, the kit focuses on its signature long-range armament: the formidable Twin Satellite Cannons. The shoulder cannons pivot and extend into firing position, while the large solar energy reflector panels on its back and legs open to reveal their mirror-like energy absorption surfaces.

Assembly Guide

The HGAW 1/144 Gundam Double X features Bandai's modern snap-fit construction system, requiring zero glue for assembly. The parts are molded in crisp blue, white, yellow, and red runners, allowing you to achieve an accurate, screen-ready finish right off the sprues.

Assembly highlights include the multi-hinged backpack assembly for the Twin Satellite Cannons and the intricate opening mechanism for the solar reflector panels. Foil sticker accents are provided for the reflective gold surfaces inside the back panels to capture their iconic glowing appearance when deployed.

For close-quarters combat, the suit includes its dedicated Bust Beam Rifle, a durable defense shield, and specialized Hyper Beam Swords with large, clear-green beam effect parts that replicate high-output beam blades.

Building & Display Experience

As the ultimate machine from After War Gundam X, the Double X commands attention on any Gunpla shelf. The assembly delivers a satisfying balance between intricate mechanical gimmicks and solid structural stability, making it enjoyable to build and easy to pose.

The model's primary showcase is its full Satellite Cannon firing state. By extending the twin cannon barrels over the shoulders and expanding the six solar reflectors, the model creates an expansive, high-impact display silhouette that perfectly captures the anime's climactic battle scenes.

Standardized to 1/144 scale, it pairs flawlessly with other High Grade After War (HGAW) kits on your display shelf.
