El Taller del Modelista is a commercial company specialized in scale modeling and wargames, physically located in Torrelavega (Cantabria) where we have our warehouse and shop located.

Our journey began in April 2008, creating the first version of the online store, exclusively dedicated to railway modeling.

The year 2011 marked the consolidation of the store in the scale trains sector, going over 4,000 references in stock in our warehouse for the first time. It was also the year of changes, opening a physical store in Torrelavega (Cantabria). We also began the total remodeling of the corporate image of the company, both the logo and the web, to have a more modern, functional and dynamic image, and to delve into new facets of the hobby, such as military modeling, scale vehicles and ship modeling.

During 2012 the store's catalog continued to grow, reaching the amount of 8,000 references.

At the beginning of 2013, the company El Taller del Modelista SL was born, the new corporation took charge of the commercial business. The constitution as a Limited Company allows us to continue our expansion on firm foundations, and offer an image of greater confidence to our customers. For the first time, we surpassed 10,000 products in the catalogue.

The growth of the company continues during 2014 and it was at the end of 2015 when we moved to our current location, in a 520 square meters that has allowed us to improve our logistics capacity and expand the sales area.

In 2018 we launched the third version of our website, with significant improvements and separating the fledgling toy line into a new online toy store. We overcome the barrier of 20,000 references in the catalogue.

At the end of 2021 we launched our own academy for modelers, with the goal of bringing scale modeling closer to all fans, with the help of expert teachers in different subjects.

We currently have more than 30,000 customers from many countries, and on our web pages we offer a catalog with more than 25,000 products in stock that is continually expanding.
