Dune: The War of Arrakis is a thematic strategy game centered on the Desert War from the acclaimed novel by Frank Herbert, Dune. The cunning House Harkonnen, backed by the Imperial House Corrino, faces off against House Atreides and their Fremen allies for control of Arrakis and its most precious resource: the spice melange.

In this asymmetrical game, House Harkonnen must maintain its dominance over Arrakis with its troops and ensure that the spice continues to flow, or it will lose the support of the great powers of the Empire. Meanwhile, the young Atreides leader turned messiah, Paul Muad’Dib, must guide the rebel Fremen and struggle with his prescient visions to carve a path that allows him to liberate Arrakis, keep the inevitable jihad under control, and achieve his own destiny as the legendary Kwisatz Haderach. While the Harkonnen rely on vehicles such as Ornithopters and Carrying Wings to transport their forces and avoid the dangers of the desert, the Atreides turn to desert supremacy and ride colossal Sandworms into battle. To achieve their specific victory conditions, each faction employs different strategies with the support of their unique Leaders and Planning cards. The War of Arrakis begins… now.
