Fallujah: Solo Urban Combat

This solo game simulates, at a tactical scale, the combat fought by U.S. forces in November 2004 to secure the city of Fallujah and crush the insurgent resistance.

It focuses particularly on the fights of the 3rd Battalion, 1st Regiment, 1st U.S. Marine Division on the morning of November 9, 2004. The player controls the Marines and faces insurgents in turns representing 15 minutes and zones of approximately 50×50 meters.

Main differences from the first edition

• 2 new game variants introducing obstacles that can block the player.
• 1 additional sheet of counters with new values for insurgents, obstacles, and population markers.
• The map includes part of the Jolan district, divided into 61 zones of 50×50 meters and equally sized road sections. Each zone has multiple locations (open area, courtyard, first floor, second floor, rooftop) represented by squares for movement management. Edges of the map include logs and tables.

Victory Conditions

At the end of the 16 turns, the player determines their level of victory:

• If not all zones are controlled by the USMC, the player loses.
• If at the end of any turn the USMC controls all zones, the player wins and calculates victory points to determine the extent of victory (major, minor, or bitter).
