Commands & Colors: Napoleonics is a game in the popular Commands & Colors series that lets you recreate the famous Napoleonic battles of the 19th century between the French and British armies.
The game combines a simple core mechanic, accessible for players new to wargames, with a level of detail that appeals to more experienced players.
Each unit (infantry, cavalry, and artillery) is represented by a set number of blocks. Players use a hand of cards to issue orders to their units, creating a “Fog of War” for their opponent. Combat is resolved using a dice system that quickly and efficiently simulates battles.
The game includes a series of progressive scenarios in which new types of units are gradually introduced to facilitate learning. In Commands & Colors: Napoleonics, historical tactics can be applied, such as:
- Infantry square formation
- Cavalry charge
- Combined arms attack
- Cavalry regrouping
Each scenario lasts approximately 1 hour, allowing multiple games in a single afternoon. The battlefield is set, the armies are ready, and you are in command. Can you change history?
