This starter box gathers detailed miniatures, rulebooks, dice, cards, and tokens to start playing Clash of Steel and recreate armored engagements in a world where history took a very different path.

How to Play Clash of Steel

Clash of Steel is a miniatures game focused on armored combat, driven by a dynamic mission-based system. Players deploy their tanks, maneuver for tactical advantage, and fight to secure objectives while defeating rival forces.

Unit cards, tactical cards, mission setup cards, and objective cards structure every match and ensure great replayability. The set includes both the complete rulebook and quick-start rules, allowing you to learn the system easily and start setting up your first tabletop battles.

German vs. British Forces in an Alternate History

The Operation Unthinkable – Germany vs UK starter box contains 17 plastic tanks divided between the two forces. The clash unfolds in an alternate history setting where the 1944 German surrender fails to secure lasting peace, and European conflict erupts once more just a few years later.

Tank commanders and unit cards allow you to organize the included forces, while mission cards and tokens help establish the battlefield objectives for each engagement.

Assembly and Painting

The plastic tanks require assembly and painting. You can customize them using color schemes inspired by German and British forces, adding weathering, mud, and grime effects for a realistic, field-tested finish. The included decal sheets help complete the visual detail of your miniatures.

To prepare your forces, pair this box with military modeling paints, brushes, and tools designed for plastic scale models.
