Trix 25042 - Class 042 Steam Locomotive (DB)

Class 042 freight steam locomotive with oil main firing and a type 2'2' T 34 standard design oil tender. Converted version with a newly built high-performance boiler.

Black and red paint scheme. Witte smoke deflectors, DB Reflex glass lamps, and inductive magnets on both sides. Road number 042 206-3. Operational status as of around 1970.

Technical description of the TRIX BR 042

This H0 scale model features a digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It also has controlled, high-efficiency propulsion with a flywheel, mounted in the boiler. 4 axles powered and traction tires. Both the locomotive and tender are constructed mostly of metal. The 7226 smoke unit can be installed in the locomotive.

The triple headlights change over with the direction of travel and will work in conventional operation or can be controlled digitally. Maintenance-free warm white LEDs are used for the lighting. The close coupling with a guide mechanism between the locomotive and tender can be adjusted. Piston rod protection sleeves and brake hoses are included for optional installation.
