Black Canyon, May 16th, 1927

Marguerite Grant could not have asked for a better day for that helicopter trip. While she acknowledged the usefulness of these modern means of transport, she did not like flying, especially in an experimental prototype; she preferred to keep her feet on the ground and, that day, only boarded an aircraft when strictly necessary. It was too important a matter to consider delegating, not even to her trusted executive officer, who had offered to go in her place. Marguerite had been following this project for years and was convinced that approval was near, especially after meeting with Herbert Hoover, the Secretary of Commerce, over lunch the previous week.

When she spotted the Colorado River, she instructed the pilot to fly over it. From above, she could enjoy a breathtaking sight; fascinated by the power and colors of the river flowing between the rocks, her mind projected the image of a concrete giant superimposed on what her eyes saw. Where there was now nothing, an unparalleled dam would rise in the United States. Roads could also be built using that giant as a bridge to connect the riverbanks. The vision lasted only an instant, but it gave her certainty about the future of Black Canyon.

The Colorado Connection adds new elements: a new map, bridge action spaces, industrial settlement areas, and additional components to complete the gameplay experience.
