Lost Ruins of Arnak: Expedition Leaders is the first expansion of the award-winning game Lost Ruins of Arnak. Designed by Elwen and Min, it includes new components that are added to the base game to multiply the strategic possibilities available to players.

In Lost Ruins of Arnak, each player controls an exploration team that must unravel the mysteries of the island. Combining worker placement and deck-building mechanics, players must collect resources, face powerful beasts, and advance in the research of a lost temple. The main novelty introduced by the Expedition Leaders expansion is the addition of 6 unique leaders with special abilities. This breaks the symmetry of the games, as each player will have specific advantages from the beginning to the end of the session. Each leader comes with their own board and starting cards, replacing the boards and cards of the base game. The leaders available to players are: the Captain, who allows you to have 3 archaeologists instead of 2; the Falconer, who uses her hawk to gain important effects and benefits; the Baroness, who always has more resources; the Professor, who uses his knowledge to manage artifacts; the Explorer, who focuses on expedition efficiency; and the Mystic, who manipulates the mysterious powers of Arnak. Get ready to face new challenges! Beyond the leaders, the expansion includes 30 new cards (18 items and 12 artifacts), 8 new sites, 5 guardians, 4 idols, and 3 assistants that are mixed with the elements of the base game. In addition, this expansion offers two components that allow us to play the original title with variants: on the one hand, we will have a new Moon Staff, which unlike the original makes us discard more items and artifacts at the end of the round to achieve greater card rotation. On the other hand, a new research track board, with new associated benefits.

With the Expedition Leaders expansion, Lost Ruins of Arnak gains a new strategic dimension with many more possibilities. In addition to the six unique leaders, which offer a different experience in every game, the new elements allow for combinations never seen before.
