Mind the Lines Game Contents
Mind the Lines is a cooperative drawing, creativity, and deduction game in which all players will have to work together to interpret the oracle's mysterious prophecies.
The peculiarity of the game is that the drawings do not start from scratch. The illustrations are already hidden on the slates, and players will have to bring them to light by following only the dotted lines.
When the drawing time is up, the interpretation phase begins. You will have to observe the doodles made by the group and try to discover what words they represent.
How to Play Mind the Lines
The game is divided into two phases: Doodles and Oracle.
During the Doodles phase, each player receives a word that they must illustrate on their slate. The challenge is to do so using only the dotted lines that are pre-drawn.
All players draw at the same time and have a limited time to complete their illustrations. You will have to work quickly and use your imagination to transform the available lines into a recognizable image.
The Oracle Moment
When the drawing time ends, the Oracle phase begins. Players will have to interpret the drawings made and discover what words are hidden behind each doodle.
The cards combine to create different possibilities among which you will have to find the correct answers. The goal is to identify the words that have actually been illustrated and discard those that do not correspond to any drawing.
Draw Following the Lines
In Mind the Lines, you do not need to know how to draw particularly well. The real challenge consists of discovering how to use the available dotted lines to represent the word you have been given.
You can lift the marker and choose the orientation you prefer, but you will have to respect the pre-printed lines. This limitation turns each drawing into a small creative challenge.
Work Together Against the Clock
As a cooperative game, all participants have a common goal: to manage to correctly interpret the oracle's prophecies.
Time pressure during the drawing phase causes decisions to be made quickly. Afterwards, the group will have to share their observations and use deduction to find the answers.
Opinion and Game Impressions
Mind the Lines combines creativity and deduction in a particularly accessible cooperative experience. The idea of having to discover hidden drawings by following dotted lines allows even players who do not consider themselves good artists to participate.
The game alternates a fast and chaotic first phase with a second phase much more focused on observation and interpretation. In addition, it features two difficulty levels to adapt the challenge to different groups.
Who Is It Ideal For?
Mind the Lines is ideal for families, groups of friends, and fans of cooperative games looking for a different proposal based on drawing, imagination, and deduction.
It supports 2 to 8 players, is recommended for ages 10 and up, and offers games of approximately 30 minutes.
