Tales of Weightwood offers players the thrilling opportunity to continue the story of the brave prince Collin and his friends Maginos, Nez, Tilda, Filch, and Lily. The old oak tree that shelters the people of Barksburg is withering, and the heroes set out for Weightwood in search of a new home. However, the path is fraught with danger: bullies, terrifying forest beasts, and even hidden conspiracies.
You can play with the classic heroes or try the three new characters: Ditty, a fast and deadly shrew; Ansel, a guardian mouse and avenger; or Jakobe, a cunning gecko who serves as a guide through the depths of the forest.
This expansion expands the original story and adds new mechanics: climbing trees, moving across different heights, exploring alternate routes, and experiencing how the day and night cycle affects the game. You will fight new enemies such as toadglodytes, corrupted fairies, and the fearsome snake Hesker. In addition, you can spend cheese in the shops of Headsville while time is running out.
Thanks to the wide variety of chapters and possible solutions, players will want to replay the adventure again and again to discover all its possibilities. Tales of Weightwood is such a complete expansion that it could easily be considered a standalone game.
