Flames of War: Heavy ISU SP Battery Product Contents

The Heavy ISU SP Battery for Flames of War features Soviet heavy self-propelled artillery, represented by the iconic ISU-122 or ISU-152 assault guns. These mighty war machines combine immense firepower with heavy frontal armor, making them versatile assets to spearhead Soviet offensives during World War II.

Both the ISU-122 and ISU-152 were designed to deliver devastating direct fire against enemy strongpoints, anti-tank guns, and entrenched infantry. They also served effectively as heavy tank destroyers, leveraging their high-caliber main guns to smash through opponent armor at range.

How to Deploy the Heavy ISU SP Battery in Flames of War

ISU assault guns excel when advancing alongside ground forces to support assault spearheads with point-blank direct fire, obliterating stubborn defensive positions and neutralizing anti-tank emplacements. When tactical conditions demand, their massive shells can also deliver effective long-range bombardments.

Their thick armor provides substantial protection against many enemy anti-tank weapons, while sturdy roof plating helps shield them from artillery fragments and infantry anti-tank grenades. This lethal combination of raw firepower, armor protection, and self-propelled mobility makes this battery a cornerstone for any Red Army commander.
