Flames of War: IS-2 Guards Heavy Tank Company - Soviet heavy tanks. BATTLE FRONT SBX62

Flames of War: Guards IS-2 Heavy Tank Company Product Contents

The Guards IS-2 Heavy Tank Company for Flames of War fields five of the most iconic Red Army heavy tanks from World War II. The IS-2 combines a massive 122mm main gun with heavy frontal armor and an upgraded turret design, making it a formidable threat to top-tier German armor.

Compared to the earlier and heavier KV series, the IS-2 offered a lighter, faster profile with vastly improved frontal protection. Its high-caliber 122mm gun was capable of punching through the frontal armor of heavy German tanks like the Tiger and Panther, providing Soviet commanders with a decisive weapon for armor engagements.

How to Deploy the Guards IS-2 Heavy Tank Company in Flames of War

The IS-2 is built to spearhead offensives and crush heavily defended enemy strongpoints. Its powerful gun threatens any armored target across the table, while its thick frontal armor provides superior protection during direct head-on firefights.

This company is an excellent choice for representing late-war elite Soviet armored formations. Deployed as part of a heavy tank regimental list, it delivers an impressive combination of crushing firepower, resilience, and striking tabletop presence.
