Flames of War: AMR 35 Reconnaissance Tank Platoon - French World War II tank miniatures. BATTLE FRONT FR012

AMR 35 Reconnaissance Tank Platoon Product Contents

The AMR 35 Reconnaissance Tank Platoon by Battlefront Miniatures allows you to add light armored vehicles of the French Army to your Flames of War Early-War tabletop battles. This pack features two armament variants of the Renault AMR 35, accurately recreating the French cavalry units tasked with screening main force deployments and disrupting enemy advances.

The Renault AMR 35 in the French Army

Unlike long-range AMD armored cars assigned to distant scouting operations, AMR (Auto-mitrailleuse de Reconnaissance) vehicles served in close reconnaissance and screen-fighting roles. Operating directly ahead of main defense lines, their objective was to force enemy forces to deploy early and delay their tempo, giving French infantry vital time to fortify key defensive sectors.

The Renault AMR 35 was a two-man light tank crewed by cavalry formations such as the Dragons Portés (mechanized infantry). While standard versions carried a 7.5mm machine gun, fire-support variants were equipped with a heavy 13.2mm machine gun capable of penetrating enemy light armor. This box includes both historic configurations for accurate force building in Flames of War.

Assembly Experience and Tactical Applications

This miniature pack is an excellent addition for hobbyists building French 1940 forces who want to feature historic light cavalry armor. Including both 7.5mm and 13.2mm armament variants offers visual variety across your platoon and options to tailor your firepower against enemy reconnaissance elements.

Cast in high-detail resin and white metal, these 15mm scale models provide authentic interwar modeling appeal and add dynamic mobility to French defense lines on the tabletop.

Please note: This product contains expansion miniatures for a historical tabletop wargame, not a standalone game. Miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly before use.
