Flames of War: Scout Carrier Patrol - British vehicle miniatures for wargaming. BATTLE FRONT BBX88

Scout Carrier Patrol Product Contents

The Scout Carrier Patrol by Battlefront Miniatures is a set of iconic British light armored vehicles for Flames of War, set during World War II. Popularly known as Bren Carriers or Universal Carriers, these compact tracked vehicles were designed to mobility-equip infantry reconnaissance units, ferry crew and equipment across hazardous ground, and deliver organic light fire support.

This unit pack represents a light reconnaissance and transport patrol, vital for expanding any British force list and fielding mechanized infantry reconnaissance elements. The multi-option plastic kit allows you to assemble the vehicles either as standard Scout Carriers or as Bren Carrier OP (Observation Post) variants, tailored for artillery spotters and forward fire direction.

The Scout Carrier Patrol in Flames of War

Throughout World War II, British infantry divisions relied heavily on the versatility of the Bren Carrier. Their small footprint, tracked mobility, and cross-country performance allowed them to accompany frontline infantry across difficult terrain where heavier vehicles struggled to maneuver.

Scout Carrier patrols were organized to probe enemy lines, gather battlefield intelligence, and secure key vantage points ahead of the main body. Their crews combined command, driving, and weapon operations, fielding weapons such as the Bren light machine gun and the Boys Anti-tank Rifle to defend themselves against enemy light armor and infantry outposts.

Configuring the vehicles as Bren Carrier OP variants allows players to field specialized forward observation units tasked with directing indirect artillery fire and mortar barrages. This option adds tactical depth to your British roster, enabling seamless coordination between frontline reconnaissance and off-table artillery assets.

Assembly Experience and Hobby Application

Designed for military modeling enthusiasts and historical wargamers, this set provides high-detail, light support vehicles for British Late-War and Mid-War armies. At 15mm scale (1/100 scale), these hard plastic Bren Carriers bring dynamic visual variety to your gaming board alongside infantry platoons and armor formations.

The customizable plastic assembly gives you full flexibility to build scout patrols or dedicated observation posts. Once assembled and painted, these iconic tracked carriers deliver essential mobility and tactical utility to your Flames of War British forces.

Please note: This product contains expansion miniatures for a historical tabletop wargame, not a standalone game. The Flames of War core rulebook and appropriate force books are required for full gameplay functionality.
