Sherman Armoured Troop Product Contents

The Sherman Armoured Troop by Battlefront Miniatures is a hard-plastic miniature box set for Flames of War, allowing you to field legendary Sherman tanks in your British World War II army. American-built Sherman tanks formed the backbone of Allied armored formations, providing a reliable balance of firepower, armor protection, and operational mobility.

This multi-option kit allows you to assemble five plastic tanks as either standard Sherman 75mm gun tanks or powerful Sherman Firefly tanks equipped with the deadly 17-pdr anti-tank gun. The box also includes British tank crew figures and a comprehensive decal sheet to customize and detail your armored troop.

The Sherman Armoured Troop in Flames of War

During the Normandy Campaign and operations across Northwest Europe, British armored divisions relied heavily on Sherman tanks, making them one of the most iconic Allied armored fighting vehicles on the Western Front. Their mechanical reliability and cross-country mobility enabled them to execute fast-paced tactical maneuvers.

The standard 75mm Sherman served as a versatile workhorse capable of providing high-explosive fire support for infantry while taking on standard enemy armor. In contrast, the Sherman Firefly adapted the massive British 17-pdr anti-tank gun into the Sherman turret, providing Allied tank troops with the long-range firepower necessary to punch through heavy German Panther and Tiger tanks.

Mixing 75mm Shermans with 17-pdr Fireflies within the same troop gives you an authentic, highly flexible armored unit tailored to meet any tactical challenge on Normandy battlefields and beyond.

Assembly Experience and Hobby Application

The Sherman Armoured Troop is an ideal choice for wargamers looking to expand their Allied forces with a core formation of recognizable, effective medium tanks. At 15mm scale (1/100 scale), these five hard plastic models offer clean detail and robust construction for gaming.

Hobbyists can paint and weather each tank using historical camouflage schemes, markings, and stowage. The included waterslide decal sheet makes adding unit insignia and tactical registration numbers straightforward, elevating the tabletop presence of your collection.

Please note: This product contains expansion miniatures for a historical tabletop wargame, not a standalone game. The Flames of War core rulebook and relevant British force books are required to field this unit in games.
