Flames of War: M18 Tank Destroyer Platoon - US Hellcat tank destroyers. BATTLE FRONT UBX93

Product contents M18 Tank Destroyer Platoon

The M18 Tank Destroyer Platoon by Flames of War allows you to incorporate one of the fastest and most effective vehicles of World War II into your US forces. Designed specifically to meet the needs of Tank Destroyer (TD) units, the M18 Hellcat stands out for its low profile and strong firepower capable of ambushing enemy armor.

The 705th Tank Destroyer Battalion was one of the first units equipped with this iconic vehicle. Its innovative suspension system and minimal armor optimized for maximum speed made it an immediate success on the European front.

How to use the M18 Tank Destroyer Platoon in Flames of War

On the tabletop, M18 Hellcat tank destroyers are used to quickly flank enemy formations, strike the weak spots of heavy tanks, and reposition before receiving retaliatory fire. Their superior mobility compensates for the lack of heavy armor, turning them into lethal hunters for shoot-and-scoot tactics.

This platoon provides the mobile anti-tank capability needed to support infantry or complement Sherman tanks in your US army lists.
