StarCraft: Jim Raynor & Point Defense Drone - Terran Hero. ARCHON

StarCraft Jim Raynor & Point Defense Drone Product Contents

StarCraft Jim Raynor & Point Defense Drone is a hero expansion for the Terran faction in the StarCraft Tabletop Miniatures Game that introduces legendary commander Jim Raynor alongside his signature Point Defense Drone. As the leader of Raynor's Raiders, Raynor embodies a warfare strategy built on tactical resilience, operational mobility, and resourceful leadership against overwhelming threats.

This box includes 1 Jim Raynor miniature and 1 Point Defense Drone miniature, a 32 mm base, 7 game cards, and an assembly manual. Adding this pack allows you to command one of the most iconic figures in the StarCraft universe within your Terran forces.

How to Play

Jim Raynor deploys into battle as a hero unit for Raynor's Raiders. His presence allows commanders to anchor their Terran forces around an iconic leader while leveraging specialized hero tactical cards to turn the tide of engagement.

The Point Defense Drone provides high-impact defensive utility. When a nearby friendly unit is targeted by a ranged attack, the drone can intervene to reduce incoming attack dice. Once this defensive screen is triggered, the drone exits the field.

This single-use mechanics profile makes timing critical when activating the Point Defense Drone. Rather than trading fire indefinitely, it serves as a clutch defensive save designed to protect high-value assets from devastating enemy volleys.

This expansion blends Jim Raynor's inspiring battlefield leadership with targeted defensive tech, keeping core Raynor's Raiders units operational under heavy fire.

Gameplay Experience

StarCraft Jim Raynor & Point Defense Drone delivers a gameplay experience centered on resource management, tactical timing, and hero-driven combat. Jim Raynor anchors your force's identity, while the Point Defense Drone acts as an invaluable counter to high-damage enemy threats.

Utilizing the drone effectively requires foresight. Deploying it too early wastes its protection on low-impact attacks, while holding back too long leaves key units exposed to focused enemy fire.

This dynamic appeals to players who enjoy tactical counter-play—protecting essential models and neutralizing enemy firing vectors at decisive moments during a match.

Furthermore, fielding Jim Raynor brings authentic Raynor's Raiders flavor to the tabletop, creating high table presence with one of the franchise's central heroes.
