Weapon X & Maverick

The origin of the current Wolverine traces back to the infamous “Weapon X” Program. Thanks to his ability to heal from nearly any injury, he became the perfect candidate for an extreme experiment: fusing his skeleton with the indestructible metal known as adamantium. The program succeeded in creating the nearly indestructible soldier it sought, but its creators soon regretted giving life to a wild and uncontrollable weapon.

Christoph Nord, now known as Maverick, always led an erratic life marked by mercenary work. This path ultimately brought him to the Weapon X Program. However, after his first involvement, he discovered he could not escape its influence: time and again he returned to the program, trapped in a web of experiments, manipulation, and violence from which there seemed to be no escape.
