In the mid-60’s, sales of the Citroën 2CV suffered from the arrival of Renault’s competitor, the R4. In the chevrons, we decide to react by ordering a profound evolution of the Deuche. La Dyane finds its name in the catalogue of appellations available at Panhard, freshly bought by the brand. It has a tailgate, like its rival, modern headlamps integrated into the wings and a twin-cylinder engine derived from the one that equips the rest of the range. Intended to succeed the 2CV she will die before her, with the cessation of her marketing in 1983.
