The Renault 4, commonly known as 4L appears in 1961. It is immediately adopted by the French who make it a mythical popular car. From gendarmes, to postal workers, through families or Brothers Marreau to Paris Dakar, the 4L travels the world in all simplicity. Symbol of the factory of L’île Seguin, it will be produced until 1992. The Export version gave way in 1976 to the TL finish. This is distinguished by a more advanced finish and reinforced bumpers.
