The MC4E wagons are a type of container flat wagon used in freight rail transport, especially in Spain but also in other European countries. With only two axles and capable of transporting 20’, 40’, and 45’ containers at speeds between 100 and 120 km/h, they provide proper weight distribution for heavy loads, making them efficient, highly flexible, and well-integrated in intermodal transport. They are mainly used on international routes such as Spain–Portugal, Spain–France (via the Pyrenees), and later on connections to Central Europe.
