History of the model

Carrocerías Toribio y Facundo, located in Segovia, specialized from the second half of the 1960s onwards in the construction of capitonné vans after obtaining the license to manufacture in Spain the renowned Ackermann structures. The company became the national leader in this type of vehicle, which was generally used for removals.

Although most capitonné bodies were mounted on Pegaso Comet coach chassis with front vertical engines, when larger vehicles were required the Pegaso 5030L chassis was used — also with a front vertical engine, but in this case the 170 HP unit fitted to the early-series Pegaso Europa trucks.

Mudanzas MATI, S.A., founded in 1965, was an important removals company based in Oviedo. With this model, sometimes pulling a trailer, it carried out many international journeys.
