History of the 444-011:
The RENFE 444-011 unit belongs to the Series 444 of electric multiple units introduced by RENFE in the late 1970s for medium and long-distance services.
These units, also known as "Electrotrenes," were designed to replace the old UT432 units, offering better performance and comfort.
The 444-011, in particular, carried for years the distinctive blue and white livery, characteristic of regional and express services in Era V (the 1980s and 1990s).
It was one of the units that, after its service in Spain, was sold to Chile in 2001, where it continued operating as part of the TerraSur service.
