Description
Stations often had these Water Cranes at the ends of each platform so that locomotives could replenish their tanks during a journey without having to be uncoupled. The cranes were usually supplied by a large water tank. Our model is based on a Great Western prototype. Also included is a Fire Devil, A coke brazier and a long chimney flue were kept lit in freezing temperatures to maintain water supplies throughout the hard winter months.
