Central Europe, 1670 A.D. The plague that devastated the region for centuries has finally vanished, and civilization is beginning to recover.

The townsfolk are rebuilding and expanding their modest wooden homes, cultivating the fields, and harvesting the fruits of the land. Their diet consists mainly of porridge, bread, and vegetables, though meat is slowly returning to the table as prosperity grows.

In Agricola, each player must manage their own farm — expanding their home, raising animals, and feeding their family. At the end of the game, the player who has prospered the most wins. Interestingly, the animals you didn’t eat will also count toward your wealth.
