The epic fantasy adventures return… in a big box! Ancient Chronicles is a new adventure of Sword & Sorcery, standalone but compatible with its predecessor, Immortal Souls. This cooperative dungeon crawler designed by Simone Romano and Nunzio Surace can be enjoyed solo or with groups of up to 5 heroes, ages 12 and up, who will face dark hordes in a campaign with multiple scenarios or in standalone adventures. Both veterans and those discovering Sword & Sorcery for the first time will equally enjoy one of the best dungeon-crawling sagas ever published. As in Immortal Souls, in Ancient Chronicles players take on the roles of legendary heroes of the past who return from their eternal rest to confront darkness once again. This time, their goal will be to destroy the corrupt deities scattered throughout the Underreign, a starless world beneath a stone ceiling, filled with dangerous ruins, sinister caves, and exotic cities.

The box includes 30 miniatures, 280 cards, 20 double-sided map tiles, and multiple adventures with plenty of choices to make and alternate endings that promise many hours of fun.

The five new heroes players can control are Jeanne, a warrior priestess who can become an avenger or inquisitor; the elf Artemis, who can be a scout or huntress; Robin, alchemist or thief; the dwarf Thorgren, gladiator or stonerager; and Xantares, a mystical elf who can become an illusionist or wild mage. Depending on the nature chosen by the players (law, neutral, or chaos), their characters will specialize in one class or another. The heroes will face new threats, as never-before-seen creatures lurk in the darkness of the Sword & Sorcery worlds. Terrifying spiders, minotaurs, or massive wyrms, among others, will test the courage and determination of the adventurers. Thanks to the enemy action control system, which works through cards, no player needs to take on the role of game master. Throughout the game, you will live through perilous battles, explore unique scenarios, and encounter the unexpected. It is up to you which path to take, which doors to open, and which chests to search. But hurry, for each adventure has a maximum number of turns, represented by the event deck, in which you must complete a specific initial objective.

Ancient Chronicles is a standalone box but fully compatible with Immortal Souls and its expansions. This means that if you have both, you can combine heroes, enemies, items, or even map tiles from the two versions to create unique, fully customized adventures. Whether solo or with a group, Ancient Chronicles will make you live epic sword-and-sorcery adventures in a fully immersive setting.
