Do you dare join the game? Mino Dice is a trick-taking game played with dice. Predict how many tricks you’ll win at the start of each round — if you guess correctly, you’ll become the champion of the labyrinth! Designed by Manfred Reindl, Mino Dice allows games for 3 to 6 players, ages 8 and up, lasting around 30 minutes. The goal is to score as many points as possible by correctly guessing how many tricks you’ll win each round. If you’ve played other trick-taking games, like the classic Skull King, learning Mino Dice will take you no time at all. Each round, players draw six-sided dice from a bag and bet on how many rounds they’ll win. If they guess right, they score points; if they miss, they lose them. Easy, right? However, not all dice in the bag are the same. There are 30 numbered dice (in 4 different colors) and 6 special dice with symbols. Among the numbered dice, the red and yellow ones contain the highest numbers (3–6), while the purple ones show the lowest (1–3). The white dice have one face with a six, two with a one, and three showing a white flag — which loses against everything else. The three special dice each have two faces with a white flag and the rest showing a unique symbol: the Minotaur, the Griffin, and the Siren. These symbols beat all numerical values and interact among themselves like rock-paper-scissors: the Minotaur beats the Griffin, the Griffin beats the Siren, and the Siren beats the Minotaur. In both the first and last cases, players earn bonus points for pulling off that combo. Each round, players roll one more die until the end of the game (the number of rounds depends on the player count), making it harder each time to predict how many tricks you’ll win.
