Data sheet
Kung-fu students, the time has come to show Master Bah-Tah Kazo everything you’ve learned. The final test consists of an epic showdown against the formidable animal forms: the fighting mantises, celestial dragons, sublime cranes, fierce tigers, slippery snakes, majestic eagles, and cunning monkeys. If successful, you will be rewarded with fragments of the Medallion of Concord, allowing you to climb the Tower of Harmony. The master awaits at the top… Will you master superior kung-fu or fall prey to discord?
Designed by Gustavo Barreto and Alessandro de Oliveira with illustrations by Casa Locomotiva, Tinco is intended for groups of 3 to 6 players, ages 10 and up, with sessions of about 20 minutes. The objective of the game is to collect cards of the same shape or color and take fragments of the Medallion of Concord to advance on the Tower of Harmony.
In a game of Tinco, there are no turns: everyone plays simultaneously. To gather a set of five cards showing the same element, whether a specific animal or color, players will exchange cards. These are never revealed, only the quantity is shown. When a player completes a Tinco (a set of five cards), they must quickly grab one of the medallion fragments on the table. The others must stay alert to claim remaining fragments if they want to avoid falling in the tower. After several rounds, the player at the highest position on the Tower of Harmony wins.
With a fast pace, Tinco challenges players to think quickly and pay attention to both their own cards and those they pass to rivals. Mixed in the deck is the Xi card, Discord, which no one wants in their hand as it gives negative points, so players will try to pass it to a rival whenever possible.
With a compact format designed for groups of up to 6 players, Tinco also includes two game modes, Xing and Hong, depending on the set to be used during the game (shapes or colors). This allows the difficulty to be adapted to the group (playing with shapes is a bit easier, requiring less visual acuity). An ideal proposal for sharing with family and friends that will test your strength and balance. Ready to show your best kung-fu?
