Agent Avenue. DEVIR

Agent Avenue is more than just a quiet street: it’s a secret battlefield for espionage. Two spies, who are neighbors and unaware of each other’s true identity, start noticing signs that they are not ordinary residents. Motivated by these clues, they use their espionage skills to uncover the truth about who lives next door.

Designed by Laura and Christian Kudahl and illustrated by Fanny Pastor-Berlie, Agent Avenue can be enjoyed in pairs or groups of up to 4 players, ages 8 and up, in sessions lasting around 15 minutes. The goal of the game is to uncover your rival’s secret identity (or the opposing team’s, if playing in teams) by capturing their token on the board before they capture yours.

The main component of the game is the cards, which represent other neighbors and spies that players will try to use to their advantage. On each turn, players place two cards on the table, one face up and one face down. The opponent will choose one, and then both players place their card in their play area. Depending on the number of cards of each type each player has, they can move their token forward or backward on the central board. If a token captures the other at the end of the turn, the game ends. That’s how simple it is to play Agent Avenue!

The challenge lies in deciding which cards to place from the 4 available on each player’s turn. The Cryptographer, for example, will automatically give you victory if you collect three copies of her card. The Saboteur, on the other hand, forces you to move backward, so you’ll want your opponent to take that card. If you’re good at bluffing, you’ll surely enjoy Agent Avenue.

Additionally, the game includes a black market deck for advanced play. These cards grant access to new resources and events that provide players with additional benefits and advanced tactics. Are you ready to think like a spy while acting like a friendly neighbor?
