In your hands you hold several pieces of parchment, so worn they’re barely readable, and you’d bet your last shovel they’re fragments of a treasure map. But how do they fit together? And who holds the missing pieces? Only by gathering more clues will you be able to locate the treasures. Behind the wheel of your off-road vehicle you’ll cross dense jungles, climb rocky peaks, and ford rushing streams. Of course, the moment you reach the treasure’s location, eager and greedy rivals will try to claim their share. Not to mention the island’s curse that hangs over some of the treasures. A modest amulet is your only protection against the devouring power of the curse…

Designed by Bruce Allen and illustrated by Victor Boden, Tobago is a true classic originally published in 2009, now reissued to reach a new generation of players. The objective of the game is to reconstruct treasure maps by combining clues until the location of a treasure becomes fully determined. At the end of the game, the player with the most gold coins wins.

On their turn, players must choose between two main actions:

• Play a clue card: clues eliminate spaces on the central board as possible treasure locations, narrowing down the search.
• Move the off-road vehicle: allows players to move across the map to collect amulets or dig up treasures already determined.

Both the player who unearths a treasure and those who contributed clues receive part of the loot made up of gold coins. However, some cards hide curses that can make unlucky adventurers lose coins.
