A reservation saves one unit of a product for you that is not yet on sale. Here is, step by step, how it works, what the deposit is, and what happens in each case.
The essentials
- Reserving saves one unit for you: when the product arrives, it is yours during your purchase period.
- In some cases, a deposit of 5€ per unit is required (1€ for low-value products). It is not an added cost: it is fully deducted when you purchase that same product.
- When the product arrives, we will notify you by email and you have 7 days to buy it.
- If you cancel or let the period pass without buying, the deposit is not refunded.
How it works, step by step
You reserve the product
If there are spots left, the reservation is made immediately. If there are none left, you can join the waiting list: you will take a spot on a first-come, first-served basis.
Paying the deposit
Depending on your profile, the system may ask you to pay a deposit (of 1€ or 5€ depending on the product's value).
It is paid like any other order in the store, with the same payment methods.
While the payment is pending, we hold the spot for you, so there is no rush: a bank transfer can take days and the unit remains set aside for you. If the payment finally arrives, the reservation is canceled and the spot becomes free for someone else.
We notify you when the product arrives
You receive an email as soon as it is available. Until then, there is nothing to do and no deadline running: the reservation does not expire as long as the product has not arrived, no matter how long it takes.
Normally, reserved products have estimated arrival times indicated in the descriptions. These timeframes are based on the information provided to us by the manufacturers and should not be taken as definitive dates. You have seven days to buy it
The period starts with that first email, not before. We send you a reminder when there are 48 hours left. If the period ends without a purchase, the unit becomes free for someone else.
When you buy it, the deposit is deducted automatically
When you add the reserved product to the cart, you will see the deposit already deducted. There is no need to enter any code. If you buy only some of the units you reserved, the rest of the deposit remains saved for the others.
The deposit
What it is
It is a payment for the active on-demand reservation management service that is fully credited when purchasing.
Who is asked for it
Not everyone. It is requested if you have never bought in the store (or have no recent purchases), or if less than 70% of your previous reservations ended in a purchase. If you usually buy what you reserve, you will not pay a deposit.
How it appears in your order
It is charged as a product called "Pre-reservation", which you will see in the cart and in the order with the name of the corresponding item. It is not an item sold separately: it is the proof of your reservation.
How it is deducted
The discount is applied automatically, without codes, and is valid only for that product and for your account.
The deadlines, at a glance
| What | How much time |
|---|---|
| Buying, from the availability email | 7 days |
| Reminder before that period ends | 48 hours before |
| Accepting a freed-up spot, if you are on the waiting list | 24/72 hours |
If you cancel or let the deadline pass
You can cancel whenever you want from "My reservations", in your account. If the reservation had a deposit, that deposit is not refunded due to the assumed management costs.
The same applies if you let the 7 days pass without buying: the unit becomes free for someone else and the deposit is not refunded.
If we cannot provide you with the unit
Paying the deposit guarantees you that unit: it is reserved in your name and is not sold to anyone else for the duration of your period. The only exception is if we cannot get it due to reasons beyond our control —such as the manufacturer not producing it, the supplier canceling the order, or something similar—. If that happens, we would notify you and refund the full deposit.
The waiting list
If there are no spots left, you can join the waiting list, without paying anything, and you will take a spot on a first-come, first-served basis.
If there are free units to reserve (because someone cancels their reservation or we get more units), we offer that spot to the first person on the list by email. You would have 72 hours to accept or pass on it (24 hours for products that are already available).
Being offered a spot is not a reservation: until you accept it, it is not yours. If you pass on it or don't reply, nothing happens, we offer it to the next person.
The availability notice is not a reservation
You can also ask us to notify you when the product is on sale, without paying anything. That notice does not reserve any unit: it only tells you that there is free stock, and it can run out if other people get ahead.
Where to see your reservations
In your account, under "My reservations" and "My waiting list": there you can see each one, whether its deposit is paid and the time you have left, and from there you can cancel them.
