Games Workshop Citadel Colour Pro-Tone paints offer ultimate precision shading and colour filtering for your miniatures. Their advanced low surface tension formula and micro-filtered pigmentation allow the paint to flow evenly directly into recesses without leaving tide marks on flat surfaces.

How do Tone Pro shades work?

According to launch details, the full range features 150 paints divided into 30 colour families. Each is organised as follows:

• Tone 1 — Deep Shadow: the darkest tone in the family. Designed for the deepest recesses, dark pin-lining, and the sharpest shadows.
• Tone 2 — Mid Shadow: used to smooth the transition between deep shadows and the primary colour.
• Tone 3 — Midtone: the signature colour of the family, acting as the basecoat for most of the surface.
• Tone 4 — Highlight: used to highlight raised areas receiving direct light and add volume to the miniature.
• Tone 5 — Extreme Highlight: the lightest tone, ideal for edge highlights, sharp ridges, and final specular points.
