Description

Model made of iroko wood. Magallan´s navy, consisting of 5 ships and 245 men, left Seville in 1519. Its goal was to reach the spice islands (Molucca). In 1522, only one of the five ships, Victoria, with 18 men on board commanded by Juan Sebastian Elcano, returned to Seville, thus achieving the greatest naval feat of all time: the first round the world voyage.
